Apply to Lock n' Load: Learn to Code

Do you dream of someday writing software applications that help people
and improve the world? The RailsBridge Boston workshop is designed to
provide women of all backgrounds with a solid introduction to concepts,
tools, and techniques of Ruby and Rails development, as well as an entry
point into the active and supportive Boston Ruby community.

Who can apply (women!)

Only women can apply to this program. Several men will be invited to attend the session, but must be the guests of women who are accepted. No programming experience is necessary, but you should know
how to use a computer. 30 people will be accepted.

What you'll learn

You'll learn how to build a basic but functional and useful web
application with Ruby on Rails from scratch, and deploy it to the web
where everyone will be able to interact with it.

This workshop includes two sessions. You must attend both sessions: 

  • January 18: 7pm-10pm
  • January 19: 9:30am - 5pm

A laptop with WiFi connectivity and a power cable.
